July 14th, We had Russ's dad's memorail at their house, there was a wonderful turnout of people who love Russ and Wilma and were there to celebrate Russ's life, and support Wilma. Russ's brother Burt came out
from Washington D.C. to honor his brother, it was great to get to meet him and his partner Mark, and to hear all the history of the Kubli boys . He just turned into this little 5 year old himself , as he tried on Russ's leather bomber jacket, as he was so proud to have on his Big brother's jacket. Priceless!
Joel sang "Amazing Grace" and Sarah sang "In the house of God forever", Cheryle wrote up all the things she remembered about her daddy, and we all laughed and cryed together, hearing it. Kimmy read an amazing poem written by Glen's girlfriend, Julie, about Russ.
Russell made a toast to his dad, we watched those videos from the 60's,70's and 80's, watching Wilmas handywork with the camera. hehe (she got better) remembering all the fun times. Cheryle put together a
powerpoint of pictures, we had on her computer, for everyone to see Russ throughoutthe years. Russ and Wilma were so fortunate to have such a Love for each other, some never experience that, and for that alone, they are Richly Blessed !
Russ's legacy will live on in each of his kids, we will hold strong together, as a team, loving each other unconditionally, and taking care of Wilma.
